Kintu Nihon Vase
Details
Discover the Kintu Nihon Vase, a unique design that blends Japanese tradition with modern minimalism.
Its design language is inspired by Kintsugi, the Japanese art of visibly repairing broken pottery, thereby giving it a new story. Instead of hiding imperfections, they become part of the design. The calm, natural form is interrupted by a sculptural crack that reveals refined lines. This brings together Dutch clarity, Japanese Wabi-sabi, and Scandinavian minimalism in one distinctive yet understated design.
The break in the surface follows the shape of Nihon, the main island of Japan, while a second break on the back refers to Okinawa. This choice is deliberate: the collection originated during living and traveling through Japan, and this vase literally marks that starting point.
What makes this vase extra special is its exclusivity. Worldwide, only 50 companies are officially permitted to sell this design. Flakkee3D has managed to secure one of these licenses, allowing us to now offer the Kintu Nihon Vase in our collection.
The Kintu Nihon Vase is carefully 3D printed from PLA. With a height of 18 cm, the vase has a calm, modern appearance that beautifully accentuates its unique shape.
An object with tranquility, meaning, and character.
